Responsibilities:

  • Reading related field blueprints and performing job lay outs.
  • Practicing safe working habits.
  • Preparing reports pertaining to repairs and scheduled maintenance and other tasks.
  • Assisting in maintaining and undertaking minor repairs of lab equipment.
  • Assisting in maintaining an updated inventory of consumables and non-consumables in the areas of jurisdiction
  • Assisting in preparation of budget materials for teaching materials
  • Assisting in ensuring that the area of jurisdiction is secure and available whenever necessary
  • Assisting in conducting student practicals at postgraduate and undergraduate levels
  • Supporting departmental innovations, research and income-generating activities
  • Any other duty assigned by the immediate supervisor

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Diploma preferably in Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant practical working experience with proven integrity, independence, innovativeness and compliance to deadlines.
