Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Interns participate in a variety of activities that support individual programs, including research, writing, and project development. Each intern is paid a monthly stipend.

CSIS INTERNSHIPS ELIGIBILITY
Scholars are selected on the following criteria:
- Must be at least a college junior in good standing, an advanced student or a recent graduate.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent from a non-U.S. institution.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- International students can apply but must be eligible to work in the United States. CSIS does have internships for non-US citizens, but it does not sponsor visas for these interns.
