Midvaal Local Municipality is offering an Internship opportunity to unemployed and prospective graduates to apply in the fields that are in line with the Corporation’s core business. The Corporation is therefore inviting applications for the Midvaal Financial Management Internship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study.
The Midvaal Financial Management Internship Programme uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with practical training and leads to a recognized qualification/certification. Midvaal Local Municipality provides an internship opportunity in the following areas listed below:

MIDVAAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
Job description
- Assist with the billing process (rates and service charges).
- Assist with customer care in the income section (customer queries, complaints etc.).
- Assist with cashiering when required.
- Assist with the completion of National Treasury reporting templates.
- Assist with the compilation of recons.
- Other administrative functions
- Assist with Expenditure and SCM related functions
- Assist with Asset Management functions.
- Assist with Risk, Insurance Claims & Compliance matters
Minimum requirements
- A three-year Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma with majors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management and/or Auditing or equivalent NQF.
- Must be computer literate and have knowledge of windows spread sheet applications.
